Hello. I have a 1953 Farmall Super C and someone previously had cut down the air cleaner intake pipe. I need to know the correct height and what would be the best way to repair this. I have a pre-cleaner that I want to install. THANKS ALL

Have a piece of identical sized exhaust tubing cut to a foot length, then have the end ID expanded for about 1/5 inches to the OD.
Cut the original off just under the hood, and put this one on with a clamp, or weld it. Jim

Jim is correct. From the top of the oil bath the pipe is 8 1/2" long. From the bottom of the bug screen, the pipe is 13" long. There is a 4" long sleeve on that pipe that fits over the oil bath pipe by 2".

When I restored my 1953 Super C my air cleaner was missing the baffle and I had all kinds of spark plug fouling issues until I found the cause. I just found the simplest solution was to find a complete different air cleaner assembly off eBay or a salvage tractor which fixed that issue along with having the correct unaltered pipe. My original air cleaner was a United Specialties model which I replaced with a Donaldson model with a glass jar pre-cleaner. Parts between the two manufactures air cleaners are not interchangeable like the oil cup, Hal.

Overall length from body is 15 3/4 and the OD is 1 3/4 There were options for a longer tube and a different top.
