Hello my 1953 Farmall Super C does not have a Fast hitch on it . I would like to install one. What is the market price for one of these and there availability? THANKS ALL

Finding one is going to take a search of salvage yards like Bates Equipment, Bourbon Indiana Price will range from 100 to 500 Jim

The IH 2 point Fast Hitch is a wonderful addition to the Super C tractor and is very useful if you are able to add some 2 point implements for use with the hitch. The one thing I would caution you on in purchasing a salvage or removed hitch from another tractor is to educate yourself on just what is needed when adding a fast hitch to a non-fast hitch tractor. There are numerous items that are needed that probably don't seem associated with the hitch which will be required. To name a few, you will need a different hydraulic manifold from the hydraulic pump on the front of the tractor back to the touch control unit. The remote valve that attaches to the touch control unit and the different hydraulic manifold along with the operating control rod (plus handle and mount) which mounts on the light bar. The seat base is different as fast hitch items attach to and go through the tool box part of the seat base. There are attachments which run from the hitch forward along both sides of the torque tube to the rock shafts on the touch control unit. These items are called the leveling link (left side) and the depth adjusting link (right side). There is another item near the rear of the tractor on the left side called the bell crank lock strap. I may have missed something but it is very difficult to locate any missing items if you acquire an incomplete fast hitch assembly to begin with. It is seldom that someone is selling just individual items off of a complete fast hitch assembly in order to replace the missing items you failed to obtain when purchasing what you believed to be a complete and functioning fast hitch. Best of luck in updating your tractor with a fast hitch, Hal.

There is a salvage yard in Fredericktown, MO. called J.P. Tractor LLC that had a couple of them that were "complete". Like the other post said, they have a lot of pieces. If you decide to go ahead with this, I can post pictures of mine as it is "all" there if that would be of any help to you.

Been to JP's Tractor Salvage several times and a very nice operation and great folks to deal with. They do know their stuff and try to accommodate your needs without selling you items you don't need. When I was looking for a Super C to restore my main requirement other then having a fast hitch was a perfect front grille as one undamaged is very difficult to find along with being quite costly in factory original straight condition. I was missing a couple items on my 2 point fast hitch but found them at the 2005 RPRU in Lebanon, Tennessee on one of those trailers parked off to the back full of odds and ends piled several feet high over the full length of the 53' semi sized trailer. A lot of looking and digging but was able to complete my hitch in that manner, Hal.

I have a Farmall Super C with a fast hitch, if you would be interested in a full tractor and are close to Minnesota, give me a call (507) 276-3285.
