Hello I have a 560D and have narrowed my popping in the exhaust to a sticky valve. I have air intake off and now wondering how I get the rockers off accembly off without cracking the head gasket and also on tricks with I sticking the valves. I'm Any help will be helpful[/i]

there is no need to take anything apart other than the valve cover. you can go through the spark plug hole with a screw driver or such tool bent to work to push up on the valve. just make sure the rocker is in the upper position.need lots of lube and a small hammer to tap it back down once u get it up. if its not stuck too bad. just keep lubing it and working it up and down till it releases.

He's working on a diesel Sorry I don't have any advise except to try prying on the spring and lots of lube. You have to lift the fuel tank to get those rear head bolts outif you end up having to go there

ooh yes its diesel, so forget that.
could try loosening the rocker , then get a 1"X 3/16 piece of iron couple inches long and set on valve stem. make a u shaped piece to fit over rocker and tap valve down if its not stuck too hard. then roll engine over gently by hand to see if piston will push it back up. not real common for diesel valves to stick unless water has got down exhaust. but u say the engine is running. other thing is the guide to stem clearance may be too tight. if valve is really stuck then head will need to be removed. yes need to raise tank , but i dont remove it.

well all depends on just how stuck the valve is . Myself i would first just back off the adjustment on said valve and remove the push rod out of the way and roll the rocker back out of the way . Then i would use my penatrent and spray thru the spring coils and tap lightly with my elf hammer while my gofer juice on the stem . and see if it works it's way up to seat. BUT my thinking on this is you need a valve job and maybe a new valve as that valve in question is bent
.
