On my 41 Farmall Av i noticed that when you hand crank it the crank just wants to slip. I tried replacing the roll pin and that didn't work. Any ideas to fix this problem. Thanks

I second that. Nothing like worn or broken ears. Thay is when you find how far your arm can "spring" when that crank lets go. OWWWW!!

It's not too difficult to shine a light in there and take a look to see what's going on. Get a helper to stick the crank in and attempt to turn the engine over (with the ignition OFF, of course). You should easily be able to see what's going on, if the ears are broken off, etc..

It is NOT a simple job to replace. The entire front end of the tractor must be removed to access the front of the engine block. That is, hood, grill, radiator, front axle, and steering gearbox. All while supporting the rest of the tractor. If you've never done anything remotely like that before, which I imagine you haven't, it will definitely be a challenge. You need a shop with lots of room, a smooth concrete floor, and a 2-ton engine hoist along with the usual mechanic's tools.
