Valve Cover Gasket Sealer on B

Getting ready to replace head gasket on a B. I am wondering about using gasket sealer on the valve cover gasket, especially when I will need to remove it at least once to retorque head bolts and check valves.
Just seeing what people are doing in this instance.

Put a thin layer of RTV sealant on the rocker box side of the gasket to hold it in place when you set the cover into place. And leave the head side of the gasket dry so you can easily remove the cover later.

Permatex black, red and blue RTV sealants all work well for this.

i use permatex high tack gasket spray. its sticky , holds the gasket in place and oil and gas resistant. and gasket is easily removable. i am not a silicone fan.
