Hi, I have a '47 Farmall cub. Here's the problem:
When I hit the starter the bendix pushes the starter
pinion into the ring gear and soon as the engine
fires and a lot of times before it fires, it sounds like
the bendix relaxes and the pinion goes back and
the starter just spins. What's up? Ed Will Oliver Bc

Remove the starter and using the crank turn the engine ove to inspect all teeth on the flywheel. I would also replace the bendix

Hi , thanks pals, I will replace the bendix in the spring when I finish pruning. Ed Will Oliver BC
