Old Farmall

Appears to be a farmall m. 1939-1952 vintage, only real way to know the year is by the serial number. If there is no serial number plate, casting codes can get you close.

Wow for that kinda money it would be on the trailer headed home just that in weights!!!! everything is always so far away!!! wiyh out a serial number hard to say but it is an M

It is always interesting to see those old loaders as the one on this tractor. Everyone seemed to have a unique design as this one does. Another example is the International model 30 and 31 (have one) where the lifting is done by a parallel four bar linkage with the cylinder changing the shape of the parallelogram. I am amazed how much it can lift. Today's loaders all are mostly the same with an upper arm and a cylinder below.

That's a Farmall 'M'. Notice the location of the belt pulley gearbox, room behind for battery under gas tank. at that price I wouldn't hesitate.

It appears to be a Horndraulic. When I started farming an M with that same loader was all the loader tractor I had. It's amazing what they will lift. The only trouble I ever had was when pushing manure. If you hit something and the bucket needed to jump up quick mine had a nasty habit of bending the linkage bars that run from the top above the cylinder all the way to the bucket. It always straightened out when you lifted it. They were always good and wavy, though. That loader is still here in pieces. Not worth enough to scrap - I just welded bits and pieces onto things as I needed it over the years.

A Farmall M with i think 3 sets of rear wheel weights and a set of front wheel weights for 500. You couldn't buy the weights in my neck of the woods for 500. WOW Kent
