I have a 756 that I put a 17 gpm pump on and am getting air in the fluid and sounds like the pump is whining or cavitating. It builds up 1500 psi on the remotes but takes 2 or 3 seconds when i hit the lever. The flowmeter reads 12 gpm at pto. At idle i think it was about 5 gpm. Over filled by around 6 gallons and am well over the filter. I have the cover over the pto off and fluid runs down from above on right side when running unless remote is on. The mcv pump seems to be working normally.
Would a o ring in the pump extention cause the air bubbles? Is there a screen on the suction tube under the pto? Is there a return tube that runs from remotes back to the pickup tube that I am missing?
Thanks for the replies.
