Farmall 806 gas issue

I have a Farmall 806, it will run for a Little while then acts like it's Starving for gas and shuts off. I have to choke it to start back up and as soon as I push choke in, it dies. I have replaced filter and still, same problem

start checking for fuel flow at the bottom of tank till u get to carb. pointless to replace a filter when you dont know if you have fuel flow. sounds like you have something restricting the flow.

I agree with rust check for adequate flow. Can't remember if those models had drain plugs in the bottom of the carbs if so should be able to fill a pint in 3 minutes. Also I don't think those models came with an actual fuel filter. Has an inline filter been cut into the steel line between the tank and carb? If so the filter has to be designed to work with a gravity flow system, most are designed to be used with a pump. Also the brass fitting where the fuel line screws into the carb has a screen in it. That may be plugged.

Anyplace in the fuel line that can catch stuff, will. The inlet to the sediment bulb and The shut-off valve itself have caused mine to have those symptoms as well. If you have to open the carb up, Make sure that the float valve isn't sticking and that the tip is intact if you have one with the viton rubber tip. But I'd check the sediment valve first. I usually take the cup off and crack the valve open, You should get a full stream out of both ports.

I'm by non means an expert. I was running my 560 today on a test drive. I
just purchased it. Loading it up and in the yard she seemed to run great.
Had to use a little choke.
Got it home same. I was happy enough. Took it on a test drive to day worked
great 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd, seemed sluggish in 4th, and 5th about killed it,
slowly gathered power playing with the choke. Got half mile away and she
died completely. Ran her out of gas.

Put 5 gal fresh gas in and couldn't get it to stay running. Had gas coming
out at the bowl, had gas at the end of the line. Kinda puzzled me.

I blew through the line, heard it bubbling in the tank good. WOW what a
difference. Instead of a trickle I had a stream of gas. She flew home in
5th gear like a new tractor.

I'd check fuel lines for plugging.
