I have an 806 with a leaking inj. pump -- how hard is it to take it off ( have it repaired )and put back on ?

If it's the RoosaMaster/Stanadyne pump remove the two screw timing side cover and turn the crankshaft to align the marks inside. On that model I remove the pump with the drive adapter and replace the shaft seals in the adapter too as the seals are not in the pump on that model. There's a four bolt cover that comes off in front for access to the drive shaft nut. After it's off shaft will pull out the rear, and gear stays put.

Your going to have to have some help, looking for those timing marks, unless you have a remote starter button, because they go by pretty fast, when your setting in the seat.

What I do is remove the cover over the flywheel starter ring gear on the right side, use a large screwdriver to turn the engine over through the opening. That's where the final timing is verified anyway.
