786 T/A replacement

I was hoping that someone could tell me what the end play should be in a replacement heavy duty T/A in my 786, and also what the T/A& D/D and lube pressure should be and also where do you take the pressure readings at, I would guess on the MCV somewhere but my IT manual doesn't help much with these issues. I purchased the T/A from an A&I distributor that doesn't deal with tractor repairs so they don't know this info and they say A&I wont tell them so I called A&I myself and they wont tell me anything either. I know that someone on this forum will know this info. Thanks, Andrew

End play is .010-.012. I set clutch pressure at 245-250 After i either do a MCV rebuild or a spring test and length check on the springs . To do a complete pressure test you need the special test spool and that i am sure you do not have . You can ge a pressure reading off the bottom plug on the MCV with a special fitting that you can hook a piece of 1/4 inch High pressure hyd line to and a gauge that that will go to 600 psi , just do not crank on the steering wheel while your doing this . If you are above the sid pressure each coil on the inner pressure reg spring removed is 10 psi. If you are not there then you need a new spring kit ,What ever you shim the guil to get end play you must shim the gear on the countour shaft the same for proper gear alignment . And this is why i will never install and Allied product . THEY DON'T KNOW THEY REALLY DO NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL. Many years back they came to me wanting me to take on there line and after talking to there rep i howed him the door and told him that there was no need to remember where i was at . I went with Hy Capacity and never looked back because IF and again IF i had a problem
all i had to do was pick up the phone and the problem was solved.
