806 diesel

What is the salvage value on an 806 that stopped running while grinding feed? Engine still turns over. Tires about 50% Paint fair. Cab is bad.

With out seeing it and more info i am going to be CHEAP 1500-2500 And if it turns over but won't fire i would have it back up and running in two days .

Probably , but with out a five min check myself we ae just guessing . If it is what i think it is then it will darn near the price of the tractor to fix it .

Could be the injection pump head/rotor seized is why it died. Easy to check, remove the pump side cover and crank the engine, if the retainer timing line plate turns drive shaft is not broken. If the plate does not turn head is seized and shaft is broken, not a cheap repair..

Could you please give me a clue on that 5 minute check? Dieseltect says to check the pump.
