Hello-
I thought I would start a new topic on this than add on to my rear main seal topic. Currently have my Farmall 300 gas row crop tractor apart to do the TA clutch and other items. Want to clean up the TA flywheel as it has some minor grooves in it from the friction disc plate. Previous owner told me TA used to work, but only operates in low range now. Found out that the rivets that hokd the friction disc on sheared off and all the friction disc pieces are in the belly of the clutch housing, so the plate they attach to was flopping around between TA flywheel and TA pressure plate.
Does anyone know what the step spec. is for the TA flywheel, I have not been able to find it. Should be the same for many farmall tractors with a TA. On another note, can the TA flywheel be machined, rather thank buying a new one? I have the spec for the step on the Engine flywheel, just need TA flywheel spec. Thanks again for all the help on this forum!
