I have an all original F12 that has been inside my family's shop for as long as I can remember. 30 years. It ran when I was a kid but hasn't been run in many years. It has a mounted hay mower. Approx. what
would it be worth in it's current shape not running and if I spend the time getting it running. I know it would be approx but I wanted to get an idea.

Thanks in advance.

Joe

Condition determines the cost to fix it up and the value:
Is the tractor complete?
Are any valves or the engine stuck?
Do the tires hold air?
Does the radiator hold water?
Are the brakes stuck?

Rough Value Please:

Engine not stuck, tires hold air and it all original and complete. I would have to check on brakes but I think they are loose. I have moved it around the shop recently. Radiator hold water.

$500 nonrunning to one thousand running. Assuming everything else is 'complete' and in decent shape.

Deltared is about 100 higher than I would be. I would not pay more than 400 not running
May be 800 running depending on tire condition. The mower is an extra to some collectors but not rare. The big dollar item's electric start, wide front, road gear or waukesha flathead. Plows and mowers could be worth something to guys that don't have them. oldiron29

So, if I've "refurbished" an F-12 (dealer modified to an F-14) (to be politically correct as some people think) with a mower on it, new tires, electric start, and a Heisler overdrive it's only worth 1K? I don't think so. After this is done it will probably last another 70 years. That is probably worth something.

The others are giving a price for an average run of the mill F12. does the electric start ad value.....sure does, but how many have that option? how many have wide fronts? how many have powerlifts?......

I could go on and on, but hopefully you see the point

There is a difference between refurbished and simply "running" although given current pricing not as much as one might hope. Does "refurbished" include new tires and an automotive quality paint job or decent tires that hold air and a Rustoleum paint job? If the latter start thinking $1100-$1500, if the former $2500 - $3500.

Restoring an old tractor is a labor of love worth about $0.50 per hour.

If you are trying to maximize your profit, sell as is with a minimum of effort. If you want an emotionally rewarding effort, restore it and keep it!

I have line on what I believe is an F-12. It has not serial tag on it.
On the front breather is a brass tag that reads D-50. Is that a a general number or one only specific to an F-12? Ida Red
