looking for a GOOD Honest radiator repair shop in the Des Moines Iowa area. I have a seam on radiator on my 606 that i have repaired it on my own twice and it keeps failing. (top tank seam) I can lay a weld but not solder tanks to save my life. I can tell it has been repaired before i owned it (sloppy soldered tank brackets ect) . So i need a good shop that i can take it to and have the tank repaired properly.

I would replace it but no one makes an aftermarket for a 606.
 
Dons Radiator Repair in Jefferson, IA does all my radiators. He re-
cored my 606 radiator last winter. One man shop and an older guy so be
sure to call ahead!
 
Yep, think I finally came across one used
radiator but didn't know if it was any
better than what I already had. Don was
able to re-core mine and used a thicker
core so it should be even better than when
new. Think it was in the $600-700 range but
don't remember for sure. Like I said it's
just him in the shop so call ahead because
he is not there all the time.
 
There is one in Story City that does great work. He used to be associated with Van Wall, but opened up his own shop down the street.
