MD Stuck Throttle - Governor Control

Hey guys! So my stiff throttle is now stuck. :( Have the governor control removed from the diesel side so that I can disassemble and clean the friction discs. I have the nut off the back side and tension spring removed but it's rusted up pretty good. How do I further disassemble without damaging the friction discs since they are NLA.

Thanks for the help!

P.S. - Are the friction discs actually a friction material or are they steel? Thanks!

Piece on engine side has snout that goes into outside housing with a close fit. Common to need heat on outside housing to remove. Purchased discs and poppet spring from a place in California. Smith is part of name. Someone will know and post. Discs not steel.

www.fpsmith.com or FP smith parts and equipment. Snout on # 9 goes into # 5 housing. 9 may pry out but danger of breaking if stuck. Had to heat some # 5 housings real hot before 9 would come out. Heats hard on discs if planning to reuse and may weaken poppet spring.

I bought new disks from FP Smith a couple of years back. They were made out of some type of organic clutch lining as I recall.
