1951 Farmall MD value

Hey guys! Some of you may remember last fall I was tossing around the
idea of getting rid of my MD for a stage II SH. Well I'm really
thinking of going to for it. I would just rather have the smaller
tractor. Anyway, need to get the MD listed for sale but am having
trouble finding tractors to compare it to to establish a value. I know
it's subjective, but what do you guys think? I'm in central IA.

Tractor starts and runs great! I have owned it for 8 yrs; probably
only run it an hour a year... Before I got it, it had been sitting
inside for the 13 years prior. In that time I've obviously changed
fluids, converted to 12V with alternator and new wiring, rebuilt front
bolster, new front wheel bearings, new front tires & tubes, had
radiator rebuilt - all new coolant hoses and thermostat, had magneto
rebuilt, new plugs and wires, rebuilt carb and replaced intake
manifold gaskets and probably more. Has new battery box, 2-way
hydraulics. Would probably keep wheel weights and fenders. Rears are
14.9's that have very good tread but are cracked - rims are perfect.

Starting tank leaks and throttle is getting really stiff...Probably my
needs all connections taken apart and cleaned of rust/dirt.

Was thinking of starting at $3500 OBO but didn't know if that was too
high or low...

I think you would be on the ball park at 3500 with a set of weights and fenders. This is my 51, runs good decent tires with slight cracking, all complete 2 sets of weights, have fenders for it with original 12 volt system dual battery boxes m&w clutch and pto handle. If I were to sell I would ask 4k in this area as they aren't as common out here.

Price? Easily what others have said. Value? That old girl will outwork many other new shiny tractors on the dealers lot any day. Value is much higher.
