47 Farmall Cub

I want to thank all of you for the suggestions for my 47 Farmall Cub tractor running, then stalling problems. Because of the cold I have not had a good chance to check all ideas. But I do remember reading about a sticking carburetor float, so I smacked the side of the carburetor with a piece of wood and the engine picked up again.
If my carburetor float is sticking, how can I free it up, or do I have to take it apart?

i would run it some and see if it sticks again and how often. sometimes a bit of gunk or something , will cause problems. if it continues to do
this, then by all means take it apart

Pull th carb drain plug out and let some gas flow. Catch it so as to look for rust dirt etc in it. Doing that may remove what ever is causing it to hang up on you

Might not hurt to put a little fuel system a additive in the tank.
