Hello
I recently brought home a neglected/abused 560 gas, the motor is full of water and seized. I found a 263 from a 706, the front motor mount is different. Can the mounts be swapped?,and will this one work?
Thanks Dave

Yes it will work. Swap the front cover and rear support plate. Use the 560 clutch/flywheel. May be a few other small things that need changed over but otherwise a pretty easy swap!

Short answer is yes. You will have to swap parts around but you have everything you need. Takes time & labor but it will work perfect.

About 20 years ago I did a swap of a D282 from a 706 diesel into a 560 diesel. Like is said above, swap the front cover and motor mounts, and the rear plate that bolts to the flywheel housing. On the diesel the only thing to watch for is the late 706 D282 has a different oil filter that will interfere with the 560 steering rod. Not sure about the gas if it interferes.
