my ih 560 6 cyl idles perfect when i speed up the engine it runs perfect for about 1 minute. it does not sputter or backfire it just shuts down any ideas ?

If it's diesel the injection pump needs repair, retainer ring is failing inside the pump. Just repaired a JD 4020 pump for the same issue. Wait a few minutes, will start and die all over again..

Put a spark plug wire with no "boot" on the plug end on #3 cylinder plug. (easy to see) use a wooden cloths pin to clip it to the plug with an eighth
inch gap between the plug tip and the wire connector. Start the tractor so it does the "quitting" act and clime down and watch it quit while looking at
the spark jump that gap. if the spark stays strong while it stops, it is fuel related. If it just quits sparking, there is your answer. Ballast
resistors (or resistor wires from the Key to coil) can be intermittant and work for short times then heat causes them to pull apart. Jim
