M&W live hydraulic pump on M issues

Somehow the drive shaft on the inside of the M&W pump broke in half. Now I have to decide what to do. I don't think there are part available to rebuild it so. If I remove the pump what other components do I need to get the tractor up and running again? I think I need an assembly (Interface) between the distributor and the cam shaft gear and I don't know what this is called. Sorry for being so ignorant here...

If the reference below does no good, there are four options. Find another pump like it. If it is a 50 and a half or newer,
the SM, SMTA, 400, 450 pump will fit and drive. If older, the front housing can be modified to accept the newer SM etc.
pump by plugging the upper hole and redrilling and tapping for the new hole spacing. The next option is to replace the
front cover with a later model to fit the OEM SM etc pump.
In all cases with an older M it is advised to replace the cam drive gear with a later model to add strength. Jim

Ignition drive bracket or housing with shaft and gear. Four different ones were used. Three will interchange with each other but probably best to find one with 6733DB or DA on it if that's the one needed. Starting at engine serial number 228082 housing with # 354951R1 on it is needed. Below 228082 use 6733 or 352082R1. 354951R1 has a different bolt up pattern to engine than the others.

It appears that when I remove the M&W pump and I also removed a gear that was about 4 inches in diameter that should have stayed with the tractor. Lesson learned... I did call the gentleman in Nebraska about rebuilding the pump. They do an exchange program. It is quite expensive so I'm not sure which direction I will take. It's an extra tractor.

Thanks to all that responded. It's wonderful to have such a talented group of people to count on when the need arises...

I am now confused about the gear in question.

Post a picture, the pump replaces the drive unit and the gear is fastened to the pump.

Disregarding the ignition units I assumed the pump like yours was the two on right. Do you have the one on left? Picture of H type but M look pretty much the same. If right type is replaced with a used drive housing the gear will probably be with it along with the shaft. Same gear used on ignition drive was used on the pumps. Don't know if old gear was damaged when shaft broke but a good used one should be easy to find from a ignition drive unit for use on a pump if needed if that's how you decide to go.
