Just a question, because we do not have a I &T manual and we are getting one, we are work on a Farmall C, I do not see a water pump is this gravity feed and I am looking for drain plug on block it looks like something broke off just below the distributor on the block any thoughts....

You have what is called a 'Thermo-syphon' system. A lot of old tractors used it. Very efficent method of cooling. As to the
drain? dont know with out looking outside

Farmall C's and Super C's have a cooling system drain on the very bottom of the radiator. About a 1/2 tube, with a wing nut / cap on it. Dumps out right on top of the front wheels (if it is a narrow front).

The C-113, C-123 engines like in the Farmall C did not have a block drain until the 140/240 tractors came out.

As Delta says a thermo-syphon system which uses the fact hot water/air guess up an cool goes down so as the engine heats the hot coolant goes up and move the coolant in the systerm.

The drain is on the carb side in the steering sector you will see a pipe going down where the lower radiator hose is located thats where you drain the system and its the only place that drains the whole system

This is not that great of a picture. It is a 53 Super C with a water pump. The wing nut for a plug had been replaced with a cap plug. Open it up and it will drain both block and radiator.
