Rex Simpkins C-153

Rex, I have looked at your earlier posts on installing the C-153 in the Super C. Did you find a bushing for the flywheel that was standard (what size), also, from your pics, it looks like you had to fab the fuel tank mounts to fit. Any suggestions for me as I'm about to put a C-153 in my Grand-Daughters "B". I do have you list of parts that you used from the 140. Thanks in advance.

OK your testing my memory some, I think I took the Super C flywheel and an original pilot bushing to the machine shop and told them to press an oilite bushing into the flywheel that was the same inner diameter as the original one I handed them. The fuel tank was pretty easy, for the front mount I just drilled two new holes in it to get the height correct and used the brace off of a "A" or B" no hydraulics and some bushing between it and the gas tank to get the height to match the front-- simple.

I thought I posted a parts list one time , but I'll try from memory radiator, radiator brace, water pump, thermostat neck, lower water elbow from 240, crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley what made it real easy for me was that I had a 140 and 240 sitting in the garage at the same time with the hoods off so I could walk over and look at them.

Good luck I will try and find the post with the part numbers and post for you.

If you post in the search bar and just type my name you will see a post titled final photos of c153 going into super c that should help show you exactly what I did to finish project. I have had a lot of fun with it I changed the 36" tire and rims and had a fellow give me some 38" radials on certain tracks I can give the tractors that are a little bigger a fit.

Thanks for the reply, it helped me a lot, I'll get it together this winter and ready for the Grand-Daughter to run this spring.
