O14 electric start choke

Closing in on finally getting my O14 running starting and running right. I had a reproduction starter made and it works very well. ( looks good too.)Does anyone know how the carb choke was operated from the seat and where the battery box was mounted? Thanks Chuck K.

Ive ony seen 1 O14 with electric start, and it may have been rigged up, so I cant say this is 100% accurate, but the choke was just a longer rod. I dont recall where the battery was on this one. I know on the F12s and F14s, there was a rod connected to a handle much like the spark advance lever.

That's what I was thinking. I thought some where behind the air cleaner seem to make the easiest way to go . Thanks for the response.

I have a P-12 and I am looking for a starter for it. Where did you get the one made? Do you have the delco number?

Chuck, I am not familiar with the O14 but I do have an F12 with electric start. Below are a couple of pics showing how it is set up. It is a lot like the mag timing control. The manual shows the battery box mounted on the side of the frame (either side optional) in the F12 parts book. Mine is mounted on the left hand (carb) side, see pic. Hope this helps.
