Update on 1206 Farmall

Got to hear the 1206 run today but didn't take pictures because it was raining but it runs very good with good oil pressure and the turbo really whistles, the 3pt works good but the steering doesn't, it's been sitting up about 3 years and the owner says it worked good when parked. It went in all the gears but we couldn't drive it, what could be the issue with the steering, it has oil in it, maybe a valve stuck somewhere? This is gonna be a lot better than a parts tractor

you probably just need to tunr the wheels till it takes oil in, or the prime is lost on the pump. They have 2 pumps one for the lift and remotes then one for the sterring and trans lubrication. If the brkaes worked the pump for the steering is good just needs the wheels turned till it takes off.

To add to what caterpillar guy said , I would Jack the front end up to aid steering and rotate all the way to each side with the tractor running until the power steering bleeds and starts working , shouldn't take many times .
