Remote brake pedal latch on 450 Farmall

Does it have the plate you lift the rear of to latch the brakes down? If so just weld a short bolt on the front of the plate you can hit with your heel while pushing the braked down.

Do you mean something to lock the brake with out bending over. Here's a home made one on my Super M.

That's what I did, welded a short 1" by 2" plate to the lift-plate, so my heel can hit it and get it up. Works perfectly, except when I forget and jam on brakes, my heel can mistakenly lock them. Ooopppps.

Brake lock linkage came standard on a 450. Found this picture on the internet. If you have the linkage setup, lower part that contacts lock plate mounts to lower mounting screw for the sheet metal around hydraulics. Upper bracket that rod goes through mounts to two small holes in the sheet metal above and a little to rear of lower mounting point. Two small screws at top guide bracket threaded into sheet metal, but now can be found with nuts on inside, sheet metal screws or missing.

Happened to think about this picture. Can't remember if this was a 400 or 450 I replaced the spring on. They were the same except early 400 used a straighter rod and little different top bracket. Slotted hole went to lower sheet mounting screw.

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the brake latch on my 400 for someone who wanted to add one to his. I think it almost the same as on a 450. I also have a 450 I could take a picture of if you need more than these. I think they were optional on the 400 but became standard on the 450. Al

The 350 I am working on has the rod like D Slater posted hooked to the brake lock. There is also a lever with a push button kind of on the left side below the seat, it is not hooked to anything. ???

I have one on my 450 that was made by O.E.M. and the one that fit the 450 was the same as the one used on the 400.

Thanks for all the photos and comments!! Evidently I'm missing the part that bolts to the lower bolt in the dash panel. I think I can fabricate it with y'all photos.

Looks like the lower serial number type in the picture and later in my picture. Both assembles will work. Think the change was for a little more finger clearance.

(quoted from post at 15:01:01 11/26/16) I have a different style than the others, here is mine.
Think someone aftermarket made the brake lock part that rod goes to on your tractor. Seen lots of those on H through SMTA made just like that.
