O14 carb adjustment

What is the general wisdom about having the air cleaner on to adjust the carb? I've heard that you will not get the right draw of air without the cleaner hooked up,what say the gurus out there Thanks Chuck K.

Until you get the "Correct" air filter, take the carb to a motorcycle shop and get a filter to fit. These are about $20 and the tractor will look just fine to everyone except the "Correct Police."

Adjust the carb to the motorcycle air filter. When you get the correct air filter, re-adjust. In the meantime. you can use the tractor.
