966 alternator

Can anybody tell me the wiring connections for a 966 alternator? This one is internally regulated, one post for the battery, and three spade connections. This 414 is going in a tractor that had a generator, so its wiring won't work. I need to know how to wire the spade connections. Thanks

The two flat terminals in-line are #1 and #2, the odd one more fwd. is for tach sense connection (if used).

"Idiot light"/alternator excite circuit connects to #1, #2 is "voltage sense", can be jumpered to large alternator output stud, or, for more accurate voltage control, to the large starter solenoid terminal where the (+) battery cable connects.

Thanks, Bob. The third terminal is what was confusing me. Done it before with two. I appreciate the response.
