484 stuck in low range

Have a later year 484 that is stuck in low range. Going through the gears 1-4 is no problem, but cannot get it out of low and into high or reverse. Anyone have this problem before?

Hi, which type of shift pattern does your 484 have? the Z-pattern or the H-pattern?
Does the Rev/Hi/Lo lever move freely or is it stuck?
If it moves freely but does not change ranges then could be sheared parts item #13 or 14.

If the lever will not move then you have to work on the levers that go into the range transmission behind the hydraulic filter
but do not force the levers or you could shear items #13 or 14.

It is the H pattern. The lever is stuck in low and wont move out of that position.

Disconnect the linkage at the shaft where it goes thru the side of the transmission,and see if the shaft will move now.Be careful-they can break.If you can move the shaft,then your linkage is at fault.Mark
