F20 and Regular Generator Setup

In reply to a really old post, when someone asked what type of generator was used, on the
old frame mount brackets, on an F20-I found one, recently, that had a 6 volt Delco, model
937Y, which fits a 1934 Chevrolet, or a 1936-7 Graham Crusader, and maybe others. I had a
new center section put in ours, added a regulator, and converted it to 12 volt. Will try to
post a picture. Fun project, and a great conversation piece.

That setup was mad by the Monteith (spelling?) company.

Heisler made a style that bolted to the front of the head and used a pulley mounted to the back of the fan pulley.

Factory ordered generator setups could either be Delco or Bosch depending on what you ordered. Those generators are referred to as 'inlines' bcasue they sit between the magneto and the gov housing

We have an old "Regular" with a "V" pulley mounted on the drive shaft between the clutch and transmission(connection joint). I though it might be for some generator but doesn't sound like that is the case. Ant idea what it was for? Cleddy

They could be mounted there. There is a setup like that listed for sale, on Ebay, right now. That should tell you what they are worth.
