Replacing bearings on 3-pt lever

I had never used the 3-pt on my Hydro 70 until this week, but I found a problem. The 3-pt lever will not hold a load up in one spot. I shredded weeds for about 2 hrs, but the lever was a PITA to hold with my hand every time I wanted to make a wide turn. On calling my case-ih parts man, he said it needed 3 or 4 different bearings with plastic in them. Since this 3-pt was used on many models, does anyone out there know what I need to do to get to the lever, how to remove the bad parts and how to replace the new ones. Also, does the hydraulic system need to be partially drained? Does the right fender and/or seat need to be removed? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I understand the problem the lever moves forward and won't stay where put.

Did you try tightening the friction clamp that holds the lever in place.

There is a bolt to tighten at the base of the lever that causes the lever to remain where put.

Maybe your problem is something different???????
