Spin-on fuel filter conversion IH 674

Last year my brother-in-law converted his Ford 3000 diesel from cartridge filters to spin on. It used the same Wix cartridges as my IH 674, Wix #33166. It was an individual adapter for each filter that bolted into the existing base. Has anyone used that setup/conversion for a 674?

I bought a kit from my local Case IH dealer for mine. I think it was a filter base for a 684, I'm not sure. I think it cost about $175.00. It was worth it.

My Hydro 84 has the spin on filters, maybe a good used base assembly could be found at a salvage yard.

I redid a 584 and got the spin on fuel filter bases from wix filters, on mine I have to tight the filter tighter than I like to get it to seal without having a small drip. when I do the next one I will look at other options before I do this one again.
