I am still in shock...........

I was just talking and visiting with my Dad this evening when he up and GAVE me his 1066!  8)

It is pretty rough looking and has some problems, but I rebuilt the engine for him several years ago when several of the sleeves cavitated and it has fairly new tires on the rear. He did reserve the right to use it occasionally when/if he needed it, but he did say it is mine to do with as I please, fix it up and keep it or even sell it if I so desire..... I think I will KEEP it! I grew up driving that tractor!

Good for you Kirk! If you grew up on that, then it will mean a lot to you as the years go by. Dad's have a way of surprising their kids........as I tell my daughters all the time:

"That's what Daddies do!"

I am looking at a 10 that had a fire under the hood. Cab is junk needs a seat. Good tires stright sheet metal bad thing the muffler has been uncovered for a year, not sure if its stuck. Any ideas what it may be worth?

I bet in the back of your dads mind, he is hoping you keep it. Better keep it, you probably could tell us how every scratch and dent was made.

Congrats!!! I wish we could have had Dad and Grandparents tractors from long ago. Just wasn't to be....Kenny :D

Thanks for posting the photo.
By all means, keep the tractor. The 10s are good tractors and being a family heirloom would be a predominant reason for me.

(quoted from post at 16:58:16 10/27/16) OH NO!!!!

I say wash it real good and she'll be just like new!!!
