460 rear end fluid

before y'all fuss at me, i haven't got my op manual yet. its on order; however, how and where do i check the oil level in the rear end on my 460. just did an engine oil change and now i want to check the rear end.

second, what is a good modern substitute rear end oil that will replace hytran?

Check plug is on the clutch pedal side down and forward of it a plug you take out for oil level.To put oil in the trans their is a plate with 3 bolts near the shift lever where it goes down in the transmission .Hy tran is expensive so I use tractor Supply trans oil for around 38.00 for 5gal.Drain plugs are 3 under clutch housing and rear diff.
