Milky oil in the m

Checked engine oil today and its milky. I
ran it till warm and saw no bubbles in the
radiator. My question is since its been
sitting the better part of the summer could
it have accumulated enough condensation in
the block to turn it milky or, as i suspect
does it need a head gasket and possibly a
head? Im going to drain and change the oil
tomorrow but im curious to others opinions
today. It does have a rain cap.
Thanks

having a rain cap is no guarantee against water if it sits out in the rain. also, rain water will run down the outside of the muffler and follow the threads into the engine past the rings into the oil. that was happening to my 400. if the tractor sits a while the water drops to the bottom of the oil pan and when you start it the two mix into milky stuff. built a shed for the tractor and no more water in the oil

Does it sit out? Rain/other moister could of gotten in by the threads between exhaust pipe and manifold. I asked similar question before(when I seemingly couldn't find anything searching archives). Pull the pipe, clean the threads, and copper neverseize (if I recall right...) should stop or slow it for a time.

Some early models had a soft plug behind the front cover that can rust through an let coolant into oil. I don't know the specific years maybe someone else can help with that. If it sits a day or two before you drain it, just loosen the plug enough so it drips. If it is green you know it its
coolant, provided you have antifreeze in the radiator.
