new disk blades

here is a photo of Mable and Brownwood. I am gonna have to put new blades on Brownwood.

when measuring the disk diameter on notched blades, do you measure from the out side of the notch or from the gullet?

second, are the front blades and the rear blades the same diameter.

I measured from the outside when I replaced mine this week. The supplier also used that measurement .

Also, realize that the blades will be worn about 1/2 to 1 inch shorter than original. The supplier should be able to use your actual measurement to surmize the original length / size.

I would use 20" smooth blades on that disc as I don't like
notched blades because they always make clods and won't
finish.
