Yellow Farmall

Don't know if I have seen a yellow Farmall discussed on here, but I have one for you. It was at a tractor pull I went to today. Surely someone on here knows the guys that restored this. It says it is original. If you can't read the serial number, it is 216477-J. Let the debate begin. Enjoy.

Nothing to debate. Standard color for a Lo-Boy starting 1959, documented in the paint decisions. For absolute original the lights and regulator should also be yellow.
 
No real debate. IH would paint tractors to order. Many many yellow tractors went to county and state agencies for road maintenance. Industrial companies were another that preferred yellow. Nice Cub though. Jim
 
Oops, left off my last sentence. Option for both Farmall and Lo-Boy was to get the other style red vs. yellow paint job.
 
I have a 1963 yellow lo boy used by the University of Illinois at one time. I like the yellow color, something different.

I worked for the SD Department of Game, Fish & Parks at Lake Herman State Park while in College. The park had a yellow cub that looked like that one with an attached belly mower. It would fit into the back of a '62 Chevrolet pickup with a long, wide box. We college grunts would haul it to state maintained fishing access areas to spruce them up & knock down weeds. We used a couple of 7' long X 8" wide bridge planks with 1/4" thick X 8" wide metal plates bent to an angle of about 30 degrees bolted to the top of the plank to drive it into the pickup. Slid the planks under the middle of the loaded rig, closed & latched the tailgate after loading & went on to the next access area. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
 
My 1966 International 140 was born yellow (my father bought it new when I was 13.) It is still wearing the the same yellow. I believe the seat frame on the Cub should be black, though. Mine is.
