884 oil pan

Is there any difficulty in removing the oil pan of an 884 D? Just looking at it there appears to be a potential for problems.

Hi Cool, I believe there is either 4 or 6 six bolts from the front bolster that go into the oil pan. Years ago when I was at our local IH Dealer, their Mechanic had the oil pan off without completely removing the front bolster. He had floor jacks under the clutch housing and front end attached to overhead hoist. It would appear he removed necessary bolts and loosen the others so he could remove the oil pan. BE CAREFUL the front end and engine parts are heavy.
