i have a 1086 and the guages quite working on the right side, oil, coolant, volts, and fuel. no lights or anything.not charging either. the tach works on the left side. i checked fuses and connections and cant seam to find out the problem as i have no wiring diagram.just wonder if anyone has run into this problem. i removed the cluster and checked the plug in connections also. the cab fan and radio works.

My 886 uses the same gauges. Any gauge issues I have experienced were ground related. Have you seen them working? How did they quit/what were the conditions? The wiring goes down the center tunnel between the pedals and then branches off. I think there are some common grounds there. Take out the volt meter, test the terminals, and start tracing it backwards until you find it hot. It sounds like a cab relay deal but everything else works. That's why I wonder if the wiring from the relay to the cab harness/ panel harness, to that side of the cluster got damaged. I think lights like the coolant one are hot all the time and ground when the coolant is low triggering a complete circuit for the light. Again, that tells me power from your cab relay is interrupted

last i noticed the oil pressure needle was moving up and down. and the alt. was doing the sasme it would go to batt voltage then to charge voltage . i thought it might be in the printed circuit in the cluster , checked that and found nothing. i just dont know which are the hot wires for the guages. maybe its a plug in that has poor connection.

i checked the voltage at alt. and it is not charging now. so might have multiple problem

you sure thats the correct diagram,... as i have guages, oil, coolant, volts and fuel.all in a printed circiut panel. i cant find that on diagram. i have no lights for volts or coolant.

It says that's for all cab tractors (from the 1086 I&T manual). Who knows.

I don't think I have a charge light but I do have a coolant light - for level not temp. There's a sensor at the top of the radiator tank. The light is in the same light as the clutch pressure dump light.

Do you have the cluster of four gauges you can pull out individually? Temp upper right, fuel lower right, volts lower left, oil upper left?

yes i can pull each guage out separately
that diagram is so small hard to read it.
