MW 9 speed for H

Hi fellas, I am mainly a John Deere man but have been going other colors lately. My question, I acquired a M&W 9 speed for my H. It is in a bare transmission case. Will I have to remove the bottom shaft from my tranny to get this installed? If so, what else needs to be removed to get said shaft out of tranny case?
I'm not ready to start on this just yet, but fishing for info to give me an idea what it will be like.
Thanks, Dale

Yes the countershaft needs removed. Clutch shaft coupling to transmission input needs removed. Cover off transmission. Slide two gears in mesh to lock shafts from turning. Loosen hydraulic drive nut on front of countershaft. Has a slot and standard threads to loosen. Don't remove nut yet. Remove transmission input shaft with housing, keep shims in place. Remove 3 bearing retainer nuts on top transmission shaft and remove with gears. Remove enough parts to slide the clutch and brake pedal cross shaft past end of countershaft. Remove PTO, remove retaining ring from countershaft at rear of bearing. Bearing needs drove out to rear. Finish removing the drive dog at countershaft front, remove the seal and bearing retainer, 3 bolts. Remove bearing or slide countershaft to rear. Work countershaft out top of housing. Unless you have the 9 speed countershaft with parts already on, you need to press some IH parts off and M&W on. 4th and fifth slider needs put on main shaft and the M&W input shaft goes in the input bearing housing.
If you happen to have a M&W with shifter going in left side of transmission it will be different than post. For right side shifter a hole in transmission housing is drilled. Or with cable shift hole in clutch housing. Reverse idler shaft retaining bolt is removed and threads drilled out and internal range shift lever installed.

Thank you very much, I will print your response so I have it as a reference when I begin. I appreciate your help.
