Farmall F-20 F&H Wheel Rims - Galvanized or painted?

I am replacing rear wheels on a F-20. These are F&H spoked wheels. The originals look like they had silver on the rims with red spokes and hubs. Does anyone know if the rims were originally galvanized or just painted? The rims of the replacements I found are all rust (but solid). My intention is to make redo the wheels like original.

My 37 F20 has F&H round spooked wheels and have never seen a trace of any galvanize on them. I painted this one 30 years ago and am redoing it again and no galvanize on them.

there is no French and Hecht rims that were galvanized. ihc had them painted red. i have a brand new set of old stock f and h rims that are painted red for a mccormick W30 tractor.

There are later wheels (38-39) that had galvanized rims. None of the one piece rims were ever galvanized or painted silver, all steel wheels were dipped in harvester red #50 Varnish, round spoke rims were too. Only the later wheel types with demountable rims could have been plated, not all of them were, but some of them were. There are photo's showing this in the Wisconsin archives and the Collectors Originality Guide book.
