Is there any demand for suitcase weights? Neighbor is wanting to get rid of some, some of them are the IH ones.

Pullers use them , not many people still during these old tractors that don't have the weights they need.

I hear all the time there is a big demand for them until you have a set for sale.

I had 10 hundred pounders and was asking 85 per weight. all I heard was crickets.......

only once at an auction have I ever seen them go for a buck per pound or more.

Im in central Iowa and not out in the boonies either.....

If there's a stack of 10 or more at an auction, the bidding is fast and furious. The least I've ever seen a set bring is $85 per weight, but usually it's in the $100-$110 range.

Cheapest I've seen them sell at an auction was $60 per weight but there were only two.

Selling them outright, everybody's looking for you to give them away. You have to sell them at auction if you want to get top dollar. People go crazy for them at auctions especially if you can get them advertised.

The emblemed IH 75# weights are easiest to sell and will bring easy $1 per # and usually more. The non emblemed weights usually bring about $20 a piece less.I was at a sale and bought several IH weights for $75 and for no reason a set brought $135 each.
