IH 574 tractor top link bracket ?

on the 574 top link bracket one side is a cat 2 pin and other is cat 1.cat 2 pin wont fit all way through bracket. do they make a special pin for it or do you just use cat1 pin only?

I'll bet there was a stepped pin originally. Or,You can get a cat 1 to two top link bushing,cut to length and tack weld in place ,Or can you drill out the one side,or is there a bushing already there? if so,just knock it out.Not good to use a sloppy hole......Acctually a pretty easy 'fix'

There is a special pin for that.

Yes, there was a special pin on both ends of 574. Top link could be reversed to connect a ct I or II implement.
the cat II pin had two holes for hitch pin and a step down to cat I on hitch pin end. The cat I pin has a cat II bushing on end away from hitch pin.

I have two top links on my 574. The tractor end is the same on both but the emplement end is cat 1 on one of them and cat 11 on the other
