Location of air bleed pump Farmall 1206

I just got a Farmall 1206 and wanted to change the fuel filter (diesel). Well, I feel stupid...not the first time, I looked all over and can't find a pump to bleed the air out of the system when I change the filters. My 766 had the pump right out in the open, just loosen the swing top bracket, pull out the pump handle and you were in business. Can anyone tell me where they hid this little guy.

There is no pump. Since the fuel filters are lower than the fuel tank, simply crack open the bleeder screw on the fuel filter canister and let it run until you see fuel. There is a bleeder screw on the top of each fuel filter canister.

The reason the 1206 does not have a primer pump is that both filters are gravity fed. On your 766 the first filter is gravity fed and from there the fuel goes through the primary pump which pressurizes the final filter. With that primary pump between filters it is necessary to pump the fuel through the check valves in that pump. Another variation is the RD injection pump used on early 806. On those there was a primer bypass button on bottom of pump that you pressed in and locked to bypass the primary pump and gravity bleed final filter.
