me and the dog dropped the oil pan and yes it was full of milkie sludge. we took some diesel and cleaned the pan; however, the bottom end has still got milk contamination. is there a way to clean the contamination off the crank and bottom end?

Using a garden sprayer with diesel is reasonable. Perfect clean isn't needed, but if it was coolant and water, it needs to be tidy. Then use cheap oil for a
change of oil within an hour of light operation. Coolant is not a lubricant, and eats rods and main bearings for lunch. Jim

looks like there was no antifreeze for i'm no seeing any green. i've got a new sprayer. gonna go get some diesel and spray the bottom end.

A lot of time you will not see antifreeze till you pressure up the cooling system and even then some times that is not enough since a hot engine tend to open up cracks and wet sleeve seals

Were it mine, Id do what you say, and clean it out with some diesel, put the pan back on and run it. Make sure you retorgue the head, and go from there. Bad headgaskets don't always show there was a problem there, and theres no seals on the sleeves on these. Its a dry sleeve tractor.

Moisture certainly will, Ethylene Glycol will not, it forms a plastic like goo that is way destructive. If There is no antifreeze in the water, I agree,
it will go away. Jim
