About a year back, a friend picked up a very nice, original Farmall 460. Had the old cable style feedback linkage, which I got freed up and working again...for a while. Cable is now broke, and I am in the process of changing over to linkage style.
Got most, if not all the parts, but 2 things have me stumped:
1. The pivot bell crank that connects to the lift cylinder and drives the horizontal rod along the left side, doesn't seem to have a way to attach to the rockshaft. Cable drive had a spring and slotted drive piece held in with snap ring. Can't figure out how to mount the new style. Is there something that goes in where old spring and slotted piece was, that this bolts to?
2. Feedback strap bolts to lift cylinder, but the cylinder doesn't have a bolt hole for it.
I see there was a template in original conversion kit. Was this used to locate this hole? Can anyone give me some measurements to locate it please?
Can't find any information about converting this...I suppose these were all done years ago, so not many left with firsthand knowledge.
Thanks guys!
