96 Farmall 300 rowcrop live PTO

I changed the oil seal on the Live PTO of my Farmall 300 RC tractor today to correct a drip. About a quart of dirty oil ran out into a catch pan while I completed the repair. Do I add fresh Hy-Tran in the little 1/2" breather hole up top on the PTO unit, or will the trans/rear end oil from the tractor migrate to the LPTO area to lubricate it? Your help is appreciated. --Lee

No oil supposed to come from transmission but a lot of them do let oil past the front seal. Probably best to drain PTO and add new oil up to plug on side. Can put oil in there or through vent hole. Drain plug is below fill plug. If fast hitch equipped it makes getting to plugs harder.
