Hi all;
I finally got to tackle the leaky hydraulic valves. Getting one of them out was easy enough thanks to a post by Owen Aaland in a thread "auxiliary valve repair 656". The valve diagram in that question is the same as the one for my 706.
BUT...in the diagram, the valve "piston" seems to have a steel ball in a hole. Mine has neither.
In the assembly where the four detent balls are located, I pulled a straight pin out. That doesn't seem to be in the diagram.
Then, I have attempted to follow Owen's instructions, but I can't remove the adjustment screw.It's in the assembly in the last photo. The entire "centering spring actuator" (item 10 in the diagram) spins with it.
Any advice on how to unscrew that little monster? I know better than to use a pliers to hold the actuator...
Thanks,
Jim
