Two cycle oil after head rebuild.

Someone on here suggested running some two cycle oil after the head rebuild. That sounds like a good idea, dad used to run some MMO in the gas tank from time to time. My old boss used to put motor oil in gas tank of small Briggs motors. So would a pint of two cycle for ten gallons be good? That will be about 80 to 1 ratio.
Thanks everyone.

I run MMO and Briggs & Stratton fuel stabilizer in my 450 all the time and causes no problems. I use it as directed by manufacture.

not going to hurt a thing. a worn out engine will carbon up the plugs a heck of a lot faster than 80:1 ratio. you are actually lubing the valve guides which is a very good idea. it never hurts to have some upper cyl. lube. and with unleaded fuel the lead has been taken out which was the lubricant. think of how clean and dry propane burns,... but it sure wears out the valve guides and seats.! m.m. o. is designed for an upper cyl. lube . so when u have tight clearances you want all the lube u can get.!

I do it. 100 to 1 till parts get friendly.
You will get a little carbon build up.
Have not hurt anything yet AFIK.

I use lucas fuel treatment which is a fuel
conditioner and upper cylinder lubricant
and over treatment won't hurt anything.
