Fix one thing, mess up another

I hate that when it happens. Decided to get the charging system working on my Cub. Had to reinstall the alternator and run new wiring so I had to take off the hood and gas tank. Worked on it over several days and each time put the hood and tank back on to protect it from the weather. Went to use the tractor tonight and now it only runs long enough to run out the gas in the carb. Got it home by running as far as it would go, wait a minute, go a little further. Must have stirred up some crap when I had the tank off one of the dozen times. To add insult to injury I filled the gas tank before starting. I guess there are bigger problems in the world than crap in a Cub fuel line but its still annoying. I was looking forward to charging up the battery and maybe using the lights tonight to finish up a job I wanted to get done.

I feel your pain! All I started doing was fixing a hydraulic leak in the steering line, and I ended up removing and painting the gas tank holding frame and the exhaust system. How did I get there?!?! And I'm a NEW guy. I'm quickly getting respect for folks that rebuild the old classics.
